Modi College Wins Inter College Rugby (Men) Championship

Multani Mal Modi College has won the Punjabi University Inter-College Rugby Championship (Men). The championship was organized by Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala at Punjabi University Campus. The final match of the competition was drawn between Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala and ACPE, Mastuana with 12-12 points, so both the teams were declared joint winners.
While welcoming the winning team at the college, the college Principal, Dr. Neeraj Goyal congratulated the team members and assured that college will keep on providing the best facilities to the college sports persons.
Dr. Nishan Singh, Dean, Sports congratulated the winning team and informed that this success was made possible under the able Captaincy of Amandeep Singh and joint efforts of the whole team. The college team comprised of Harpreet Singh Kamboj, Jobanpreet, Gurpreet Singh, Sandeep Singh, Paramjit Singh, Paras, Deepak, Ankit and Bobby.
The Principal applauded the sincere efforts of Dr. Nishan Singh, Dean, Sport, Dr. Harneet Singh and Prof. (Ms.) Mandeep Kaur.

ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੇ ਲੜਕਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਰਗਬੀ ਟੀਮ ਨੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਅੰਤਰ-ਕਾਲਜ ਚੈਂਪੀਅਨਸ਼ਿਪ ਜਿੱਤ ਲਈ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਚੈਂਪੀਅਨਸ਼ਿਪ ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਨੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਕੈਂਪਸ ਵਿਖੇ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ। ਇਸ ਟੂਰਨਾਮੈਂਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦਾ ਏ.ਸੀ.ਪੀ.ਈ. ਮਸਤੁਆਣਾ ਨਾਲ ਹੋਇਆ ਫਾਇਨਲ ਮੈਚ 12-12 ਅੰਕ ਨਾਲ ਡਰਾਅ ਹੋਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਟੀਮਾਂ ਜੁਆਇੰਟ ਚੈਂਪੀਅਨ ਘੋਸ਼ਿਤ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ।
ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇਹ ਜਿੱਤ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਕੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਪਹੁੰਚਣ ਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਨੀਰਜ ਗੋਇਲ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਬਾਰਕਬਾਦ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸਾਡਾ ਕਾਲਜ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਸਰਬਪੱਖੀ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਭਾ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਖਾਰਨ ਲਈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਚਿਤ ਸਹੂਲਤਾਂ, ਮੰਚ ਅਤੇ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਅਜਿਹੇ ਹੋਣਹਾਰ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਨੂੰ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਮਾਣ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਹਰ ਸੰਭਵ ਮਦਦ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਕਾਲਜ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਤਿਆਰ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਡੀਨ, ਸਪੋਰਟਸ ਡਾ. ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਜੇਤੂ ਖਿਡਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਬਾਰਕਬਾਦ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਅਮਨਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਕਪਤਾਨ ਦੀ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਨਿਭਾਉਂਦਿਆਂ ਹੋਇਆਂ ਬਿਹਤਰ ਖੇਡ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਟੀਮ ਦੀ ਜਿੱਤ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਭਵ ਬਣਾਇਆ। ਇਸ ਟੀਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਰਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਕੰਬੋਜ਼, ਜੋਬਨਪ੍ਰੀਤ, ਗੁਰਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ, ਸੰਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ, ਪਰਮਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ, ਪਾਰਸ, ਅੰਕਿਤ, ਦੀਪਕ ਅਤੇ ਬੌਬੀ ਸ਼ਾਮਿਲ ਸਨ। ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਨੀਰਜ ਗੋਇਲ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਖੇਡ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ੰਸਾ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀ ਅਤੇ ਡੀਨ ਸਪੋਰਟਸ ਡਾ. ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਸਿੰਘ, ਡਾ. ਹਰਨੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੋ. (ਮਿਸ) ਮਨਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ ਦੀ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਅਤੇ ਲਗਨ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਕੀਤੀ।
